2006 Newtown Flicks Short Film Festival Program
1 April 2006

The program includes a listing of all short film submissions to the festival and screening session details. Finalists were selected from films screening at sessions Chocolate Box and Lolly Bag. All festival entrants were entitled to tickets to the session in which their film was screened and tickets to the Awards Presentation.

Prizes for festival winners
1 April 2006

JVC and Powermedia have announced fantastic prizes for the winners including equipment valued to $2000 and Adobe software! These include a 3CCD Mini DV Camcorder and Final Cut Pro Version 5.1. 

Audience Prizes
1 April 2006

There will also be audiences prizes including:

• 4 double-passes to The Darlinghurst Theatre
• 4 double passes to The New Theatre
• 2 camera mobile phones!

Winners will be drawn from tickets purchased at program sessions. Also help yourselves to a 10% discount for dinner during the festival at The Union Hotel Eatery, corner of King and Union Streets Newtown.

Newtown Flicks welcomes the Fitzair Picture Company’s Chris Fitz-Gibbon as one of our judges and guest speakers. His expertise in the film and television industry and knowledge across different facets of production is highly respected. We’re thrilled to have his contribution.

The Fitzair Picture Company was formed in 1979 after Chris worked 10 years with the Australian Broadcasting Commission. The company is a film and television production house which tackles nothing short of everything. They produce full length feature films, shorts films and television shows. They also specialise in television commercials, music videos, corporate videos and documentaries. With a full production crew of highly experienced professionals and a selection of clients including DreamWorks USA , FOXTEL cable, Roadshow Music Australia and Warners Music Europe they are one to keep your eyes on.
