The 2006 NAFA Selection - Best Films from 2006 & Previous Winners
 Newtown Flicks hosted the winners of NAFA's festivals as part of the Matinee on Bray series of short films at Newtown Theatre.

Think NAFA, Take Action and We Did!
 On August 25, I attended the second and final night of NAFA's Action-Fest, a short film competition that requires entries to have the word "action" incorporated some where in the piece.

Newtown Flicks proudly presents Matinee on Bray in association with Newtown Theatre. Matinee on Bray is a monthly screening of the independent short films submitted to the 2006 Newtown Flicks Film Festival.

Treehouse Flicks

Coming soon ... Newtown Flicks presents Treehouse Flicks a children’s film festival to be held in January 2007. Treehouse Flicks is a new initiative aimed at encouraging the development of intelligent and inspiring films for children.
There is a lack of local content in film and television for younger age brackets. Filmmakers have the opportunity to develop unique and educational films for kids while promoting Australian culture and ideals.
Treehouse Flicks provides an opportunity for kids to see films made outside of the mainstream, stories that are Australian and reflect our cultural experiences. Treehouse Flicks aims to provide content that will attract families to uniquely Australian works and thus support up and coming Australian filmmaking talent.

Graham 'Garfield' Barnard and Tim Newsom (formerly of Trout Fishing in Quebec), the co-producers of Anthology of Interest on the new community network TVS are giving Newtown Flicks an opportunity to get your stuff seen on free-to-air television, complete and uncut! Their television show is whole heartedly dedicated to the presentation of short films.
